Hello, I’m Jodi and I’m so glad you are here! I look forward to connecting with each and every one of you and to help you achieve a better state of physical wellness and mental calm through Massage Therapy at The Nest Holistics! I’ve been asked by clients over the years why did I want to be a Massage Therapist? I was told that I was really good at it by the girls I was with in the color guard in high school. I always felt like I was more sensitive to peoples energy and touch but didn’t know how to utilize that. It wasn’t until I was 20 years old did I get reintroduced to massage therapy and I took the leap and been doing it ever since. It was fascinating learning about how the body can heal itself and how massage can aid in that healing. How every part of our body has a purpose and knowing how to work with the body to get it back to a better state of balance. What a great feeling to know you helped give a piece of someone’s life back to them. 14 years later and I’m still learning and finding ways to bring that balance back to our bodies. I May be new to The Nest Holistics, but I have no doubt that this place will give me an opportunity to bring massage back to its roots. “Massage is believed to restore the body's natural and physical balance so that it can heal naturally.” (Florida academy,2019). I have heard so many clients say they wish they can get more massages but to them it’s become a luxury and not a need. I want to bring the need back to massage therapy. About me/education I have been a massage therapist for 14 years. I completed my associates in applied science of Massage Therapy in 2009 at a trade school (Anthem college). I passed my MBLEX and became licensed to practice professional massage therapy. I provide 30,60,90 min customizable massages. Swedish, trigger point, deep, some stretching, and sports massage. I’m a Mother to a beautiful daughter of 12 years. I have lived in Missouri for 17 years. I love being outdoors, kayaking, bowling, roller coasters. I love my family and my friends and with their love and support I don’t know where I’d be today. I thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little bit and giving me the opportunity to possibly work with you!!
